Tjilik Riwut Airport is located in the city of Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan Province. This airport is categorized as a domestic airport with airport class, namely class 1, the area of existing airside facilities: Runway: 112,500, Taxiway: 2967, Apron: 35,132, Turning Area: 2,250, RESA : 8,100, Runway strip : 72,750and Hangar : 391. In the development of the new airport and terminal which was inaugurated on April 8, 2019 by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, the air side capacity of Tjilik Riwut Airport, Palangka Raya can accommodate up to B-737-900ER aircraft, this B-737-900ER aircraft can accommodate up to 189 passengers and requires a take-off distance with a percentage of 90% load level, which is 1,980 meters long. So that in this study, researchers wanted to evaluate the airside facilities (runway, runway and aircraft parking) at the airport so that they are in accordance with the safe distance for B-737-900ER aircraft and planned aircraft of the same level / level above, also adjusting to regulations. existing aviation safety standards. The data used are primary data in the form of planned aircraft load data, soil California Bearing Ratio (CBR) data and the number of aircraft crossings, while secondary data are in the form of airport class, layout, number of passengers, number of aircraft, type of aircraft and flight routes, environmental conditions and type of soil. The method used is the Federation Aviation Administration (FAA) method. The runway requirement for the planned Airbus 330-300 aircraft is 3,650 meters. The required pavement thickness for Airbuss 330-300 aircraft is 13 cm for the surface layer, 18 cm for the upper foundation layer, and 59 cm for the lower foundation layer. This means that the length and thickness of the runway at Tjilik Riwut Airport has not been optimal for wide-body aircraft and if you want to bring in large-bodied aircraft, you need to increase the length and width of the runway to suit the characteristics of the planned aircraft.
